Perusing Flickr, we found this amazing ceiling in India made completely of inlaid stone (laid piece by piece by hand!). Probably a tad too involved to recreate in your home but if you consider using stencils this is a great DIY idea for a simple bedroom with an unexpected twist.

We're experiencing our version of winter in LA and our apartment, which is located on the first floor and which doesn't get a lot of sun, can get decidely chilly. It's not unusual to come home after a long day to find it colder in our home than it is outside and we snuggle up against the heating vents in the wall while waiting for the heat to take the edge off. One of the more unexpected gifts we received this Christmas was a body pillow.
We usually sleep with just one head pillow, a very minimal requirement according to this AT survey on how many pillows people sleep with. However the bf does like a few pillows to hug, hence the body pillow gift. After stealing it for a try, we’re now hooked on this odd looking, huggable pillow. More after the jump.

Ahh, the good ole litter box...the bane of cat owners all over, not only because of it's obviously distasteful functional nature, but also because they often stick out like a sore thumb with the rest of your home.
